Well, nothing has changed so far. I have not felt any significant changes in the behaviour of other students either. I’ve come to a realization that I only use Facebook to find out what the homework was, share answers, etc. There are many other ways to do that, such as WLM, so I won’t be affected in the slightest. I do not think that I will have any problems lasting the week, since I have backup places to get information.

One day in, and I’m just the same as normal. The stuff I usually do, I do, and the stuff I don’t, I don’t.
Facebook, or rather the lack of it, doesn’t really affect me and my daily life. ’cause when I surf on it, I’m probably bored enough to read about other people’s crap. It just doesn’t have much impact as other things do, like teh vidya.
For the rest of the week, it’ll just be ‘nuther day like today, without Facebook. The lack of timewasting on Facebook has left me wasting my time on other things, like reading webcomics and such, hah.
How hard is it to keep this up? Not very. If I couldn’t refrain myself from going on Facebook, simply a social networking site, then I’ve lost my mind.
Thankfully, I need not to ask myself: “Where is my mind?”

There isn’t anything too different from yesterday. Very soon, though, I think we’ll see some of the more addicted students cave into the desire.
I’ll bet the most addicted ones are using Facebook in their own homes anyway. How would we know all of us are being honest here? We don’t, and we can’t, and this experiment relies on honest people and good faith.
Maybe I’m just being pessimistic here, or maybe I just want to see some people start going crazy. Either way, I can’t lose here, since I was never addicted to Facebook in the first place.
Hello,
Wow… it’s been already 2 days since I quit facebook… I can’t believe it.
I feel weird….. I feel like… I am trying to quit smoking… I am not saying that I have experienced that before. However, I consider that quitting Facebook for me is as painful as smokers quitting smoking. In terms of my daily habits, I cannot stop going on MSN now. Also, I am now using my cell phone more frequently to socialize with my friends. Overall, I consider that stopping the usage of Facebook really saves some spare time for me; I can use the spare time to watch TV, phone friends, and do some exercise.
I believe that I will get through the rest of the week without cheating. I can see that it is going to be very painful and challenging, but I believe that I will be able to endure it.
It is definitely harder than I have imagined… I thought it was just going to be a joke. However, this campaign is actually turning into a painful and torturous one for me. Not that I blame Mr. Hamlin for this 😀
It feels like something is missing. I haven’t checked my Facebook for ONE DAY, 24 HOURS, 3600 MINUTES. I have to admit, it wasn’t as hard as I imagined it would be. Well I kind of cheated. My friend was on Facebook and I was sitting beside her:D Yesterday I had more time to do my homework and talk to my friends since I can’t check my Facebook. My parents are the only ones who like the idea of Free Facebook week.
Not much has changed a day into this “challenge”. When it comes to my daily routine, I feel as normal as normal could be. I didn’t have any homework yesterday, so I spent my time surfing the net and watching television. I wasn’t tempted at all to go on Facebook and I don’t think I will for the rest of the week. It was easy not to use Facebook because I’ve been doing that for months anyway.
Hi, guys , my name is Nelson.Today is the second day of the wonderful and exciting Facebook free week. I didn’t use Facebook last night and I found that I can live very well without Facebook .
Actually , I spent much more time on my poetry poster(a project from my English class) last night . I think Facebook is a great thing , it help us to communicate with our friend .But there are too many people spend too much time on Facebook.Everyday , I saw some of my classmates use Facebook during class time , this is not a good effect now .
I like this project because it can help those people who spend too much time on Facebook to see what will happen if they don’t use Facebook. Also, it can help them to realize that there are so many other interesting things beside Facebook.
Well, it’s the second day and I still don’t feel any different. It’s like not touching a random book in the house, being rather easy. I guess facebook can be an effective way to communicate, but I still believe that the phone is superior. For me, using sarcasm and irony is much more important that using a 😀 or lol, since the emoticons become rather plain and boring. More time than not, when people type lol, they are not even laughing. I can imagine how some people in the media might say they are suffering from “withdraw” to gain attention, but realistically, I don’t think very many people actually does.
Cheers.

Facebook Free – Day 2 :D (Adrian Ho)

So, day two and I feel exactly the same.
As we’ve sort of established before, most of the people in the class aren’t frequent users of Facebook so it’s hard to coax a reaction out of us.. cold.. monotone and anti-social(sociopathic), deviants.
An awesome game was released on Steam and I stayed up ’till 2:00 AM playing it with Narane (but his blog is still a template).
My prediction for the week… has not changed in the slightest, nor has it been any easier or harder than I’d imagined this to be.
Maybe there’s really no such thing as a Facebook addiction. Maybe it’s more of an internet addiction — heck, I think I’m addicted to the series of tubes. If you cut that internet down (with a fire axe) you’ll excise the tumour that’s the source of the problem. If internet access restrictions can be placed upon such ‘Faceobook addicts’ then there’ll be no need to call the cyber police (and the state police) and the consequences might as well be the same. And we’ll all not have dun goof’d.
I lose all will to stay on the computer if the internet’s down… or dead. I just go off and do something else, surprisingly! It might just be the same with those poor, poor people with their Facebook addictions.
Well, it’s been a tough Monday (or not). Yesterday I had some technical difficulties (D:<) which my email which forbidded me access to this wonderful, wonderful site. I don’t particularly use Facebook for things other than website signups and maybe some volunteer work, etc… Maybe, it’s not that useful for me since MSN (woot!) is just so much more convenient (well in my opinion it is ^^). If there’s anything to talk about, it would be how unusual it is that this is only the second group which has been officially piloting the Facebook Free blog. It doesn’t really give a warm and fuzzy feel inside being the special ones. Some people might even get annoyed because they want to go on Facebook but apparently they are not allowed to (well it’s hard to say whether or not they broke the rules yet). Well that’s all for today, even though I didn’t write much, but oh well…
